A Pharmacy Technician with expertise in long-term care is needed to provide phone-based support for patients and healthcare providers. This contract-to-hire position involves managing inbound calls, resolving medication-related issues, coordinating deliveries, and assisting with insurance co-paymentsall while delivering high-quality customer service focused on first call resolution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary phone support contact for patients and physician office staff
- Address inquiries about prescriptions and medication schedules
- Coordinate timely medication deliveries and assist with co-payment collection
- Triage calls efficiently to relevant departments when necessary
- Apply excellent communication skills to resolve issues during the initial call
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacy technician license in the state of residence; PTCB certification is a plus
- Experience in pharmacy technician duties, specifically in long-term care pharmacy settings
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple calls professionally
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
- Monday through Friday with multiple shift options available, including: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM 9:30 AM 6:00 PM 10:30 AM 7:00 PM 11:00 AM 7:30 PM 11:30 AM 8:00 PM
- One weekend shift option: Monday-Wednesday 10:30 AM 7:00 PM plus Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
Location:
- Position can be based in Louisville, KY, or at any of several other sites, offering flexibility for candidates open to relocation or travel.
